Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil is now subject of a criminal investigation, law enforcement sources say. He has been accused of grabbing a woman’s hair from behind and pulling her to the ground at a Las Vegas Strip resort.

TMZ reports it lead to a physical fight between Neil and Nicolas Cage. Law enforcement sources say that Cage and Neil were inside the hotel when a woman came up asking Cage for an autograph. Neil allegedly got behind the woman, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground. Bystander cellphone video shows the end of a fight between Neil and Cage. It was reported that Cage was trying to restrain and calm Neil down and he took Neil outside of the hotel and into the car. Sources also told TMZ Cage was screaming at Neil in efforts to calm him down. “Stop this s–t now!” the “National Treasure” star yelled at Neil as he clutched him by the neck, video footage of the end of the fight shows.

Las Vegas police Officer Michael Rodriguez says that the incident happened a little before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday outside the Aria resort. He confirmed that Cage was at the scene. He says that Cage wasn’t accused of a crime. Police issued the 55-year-old Neil a misdemeanor battery summons and he has a June 17th court date. He was not taken to jail.

David Chesnoff is Neil’s attorney. He says he is still investigating the incident. “All I’ve seen is that there was an allegation of a simple misdemeanor battery,” he told The News. “People shouldn’t pre-judge things until all the facts are in.”

The pair has been photographed together multiple times over the years. Photos also show them mingling with prop comedian and Vegas mainstay Carrot Top on various occasions, reports The News.
